Willow Grouse

The Willow Grouse or Willow Ptarmigan (Lagopus lagopus) has a circumpolar distribution in the northern areas of the Holarctic, in Europe, Asia and North America. The Willow Grouse is a resident bird or short migrant throughout it's range, but in winter the bird often stay at lower levels in protected environments.

Northern Shoveler

The Northern Shoveler (Anas clypeata) nest in the northern regions of Europe and Asia, and across most of North America. The majority of the population are migratory birds.

Ringed Plover

Ringed Plover (Charadrius hiaticula) breed in northern Eurasia and northeastern Canada. Most are migratory birds and winters in southern Europe, Africa, the Indian Ocean, in southwest Asia and Japan.

European Herring Gull

The European Herring gull (Larus argentatus) occurs as a breeding bird in Iceland and the British Isles, along the western coasts of Europe as far south as southern France, in Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and northwestern European Russia.

European Quail

The Common Quail (Coturnix coturnix) occurs in most of Europe's and Asia's temperate parts and less common in Scandinavia. There are also breeding populations in the tropical parts of eastern and southern Africa and Madagascar. The Palearctic populations migrate in winter to subtropical and tropical areas, but also to a few places in southern Europe, Mediterranean, and southern Tibet. The population of tropical Africa are sedentary or move north in winter just like the population in South Africa that winters in an area around Angola.

Whimbrel

Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus) breed in North America, northern Europe and in Asia, mainly in Siberia.
Common breeding sites are heaths, swamps, clear cuts and steppe lands.

Hoatzin

The hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin), also known as the stinkbird, or Canje pheasant, is a species of tropical bird found in swamps, riparian forests, and mangroves of the Amazon and the Orinoco Delta in South America.
