Grey Parrot

The African Grey Parrot (Psittacus erithacus), also known as the Grey Parrot, is a medium-sized parrot found in the primary and secondary rainforest of West and Central Africa. Experts regard it as one of the most intelligent birds in the world. They feed primarily on palm nuts, seeds, fruits, and leafy matte.

The Black-collared Lovebird is divided into three subspecies:

• Agapornis swindernianus swindernianus - occurs in patchy distribution Liberia, Ivory Coast and Ghana
• Agapornis swindernianus zenkeri - occur in Cameroon to Gabon, southern Central African Republic and western Zaire
• Agapornis swindernianus Emini - occurs in lowland forests of the DRC and Western Uganda

Rosy-faced Lovebird

Rosy-faced Lovebird (Agapornis roseicollis) also known as the Peach-faced Lovebird. Its original distribution area is dry, open areas in southwestern Africa. Distribution area stretches across Angola, Namibia, Namib Desert to the lower parts of the Orange river valley in northwestern South Africa. It occurs at altitudes up to 1600 meters in the large-leaved woodland, semi-desert and mountain areas.
It is dependent on access to water and gather food where there is fresh water to drink.

Escaped cage birds inhabit many parts of the world such as Arizona and London.
