Secretarybird

National bird of Sudan.

Secretarybird (Sagittarius serpentarius) is found in Africa from the region directly south of the Sahara to South Africa. Most individuals are living in the savanna.

Swift

The Swift's (Apus apus) breeding range extends over the Palearctic region. During the winter of the northern hemisphere, the Swift is found between Equatorial Africa and South Africa.

Scoter

Common Scoter (Melanitta nigra) nest in the northern regions of Europe and western Asia. The American Melanitta americana (Black Scoter) is sometimes considered a subspecies of Melanitta nigra.

Red-necked Phalarope

The Red-necked Phalarope (Phalaropus lobatus) breed in the arctic regions of northern Europe, Asia and North America.

Hazel Grouse

Hazel grouse (Tetrastes bonasia) nests in a belt from Scandinavia across Russia and away to China and Japan. The Hazel Grouse is a resident bird.

Red-throated Pipit

Red-throated Pipit (Anthus cervinus) nests in northern Europe and Asia and is found in northern Alaska. It is a far migrant that winters in Africa, South and Southeast Asia and along the U.S. west coast.

Red-winged Blackbird

The Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) is a bird species that live in North America, with scattered populations down to South America. It breeds from Alaska and Newfoundland south to Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, and Guatemala, with isolated populations in western El Salvador, northwestern Honduras, and northwestern Costa Rica. It may winter as far north as Pennsylvania and British Columbia, but northern populations are generally migratory, moving south to Mexico and the southern United States.
